FIVE BEST BOOKS FOR BEGINNERS

Would you like to learn Astrology but confused about where to start?

If you search online for the best books on astrology, you are bound to get long lists of books that may or may not be helpful for you on your quest to learn the starting concepts of astrology.

When learning about astrology, it is helpful to have one go-to book on the subject to use as a reference. So many books have been written on the subject. You can find quite a few astrological books that delve deeper into charts, houses, planets, and predictive astrology, but when you need one good resource that covers most of the concepts in an introductory way, that long list online may seem not really useful.

Have you already bought a few books but found it too difficult? In that case, I offer an intensive online course in which you can learn astrology step by step with my written material and explicatory videos.

There are five really good books overall that offer an introduction to astrology.

Astrology for Yourself : How to Understand and Interpret Your Own Birth Chart a Workbook for Personal Transformation by Demetra George - Astrology for Yourself is designed to introduce you to the language, art, and science of astrology through a series of self-directed, program-learning exercises that will literally enable you to write your own chart interpretation. It is a book that focuses on your own birth chart, and it includes a whole session about asteroids ( Ceres, Pallas, Juno & Vesta). Highly suggested for people with strong Earthy and Airy placements.

The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need By Joanna Martine Woolfolk - Beginning with the Sun signs and moving on through the remaining planets, as well as more obscure influences such as the Ascendant, Moon signs, Decanates and Cusps of each sign, the book is well thought out and the information presented in a logical and orderly manner In addition the author explains the steps necessary to erect a chart in simple terms. If you are looking for a list of all the main planets, signs, and houses this is the book for you.

Art of Chart Interpretation : A Step-by-Step Method of Analyzing, Synthesizing and Understanding the Birth Chart by Tracy Marks - Tracy Marks provides a comprehensive method for collecting and evaluating astrological data. Her step-by-step techniques and worksheets aid astrology students in developing their abilities to analyze and synthesize the many facets of the chart and to grasp the essential features of the personality.

The Secret Language Of Astrology By Roy Gillett - It's a perfect book for a read in the park. The illustrations are excellent. Everything you need to interpret your birth chart is present in an extremely concise manner. Each planet, sign, house, and aspect is assigned a keyword. It helps you to think about astrology "grammatically". If you like keywords, this is a great place from where to start.

Your Zodiac Soul: Working with the Twelve Zodiac Gateways to Create Balance, Happiness & Wholeness by John Wadsworth - This is not a cookbook. If you are looking for a book that has a holistic approach, then this is the book for you. This is a book that makes you think about “why” every sign has a specific meaning, and it is a great tool to self-inquiry through the exercises that are connected to the monthly change of the Sun position. If you want to set astrology into motion, and also learn the myths around the Signs of the Zodiac, this is definitely a great book for you. Highly recommended for people with strong water and Sagittarius energy in their chart.
